Gillie Tunley


Gillie Tunley studied singing at Reading University with the renowned Handelian mezzo, Maureen Lehane and was mentored by the world famous mezzo Constance Shacklock. She has played most of the major mezzo-soprano operatic roles, including the eponymous role of Carmen and has appeared at the Edinburgh Festival, Bath, Chawton and other major theatres and arts centres around the South.

More recently, she has widened her scope and now sings jazz and blues with her own trio and appears regularly at the The Maltings Jazz Cafe, Farnham, as well as performing at corporate events and private functions.

Additionally, she sings French chanson and has performed at various functions internationally.
